Gerry Suttle, an elderly resident of Central Texas, had an arrest warrant out for her arrest. Why? Because her lawn was unmowed.
Yeah, jail time for an old lady because she couldn’t mow her own lawn.
After hearing her plight, four boys, the Reynolds brothers, came to her aid.
“We haven’t met her yet but she’s 75 years old and she needs some help mowing,” one of the boys, Blaine Reynolds, told KWTXt. “That’s the least we could do.”
It took about two hours, but the boys completely mowed Suttle’s lot. They also managed to rally members of the community to help with her yard. She was speechless.
“I am very seldom without words. This is one time,” she said. “You might want to mark it down in history that I didn’t have something to say.”
Despite her lawn being mowed, Suttle still received a summons last Thursday. The neighborhood is dedicated to helping Suttle in whatever way they possibly can.
“I’d do it for her a second time, or a third time,” Blaine told KWTX. “Anything to keep that lady from having to go to court.”
We appreciate knowing that there are people like Blaine and his family out there willing to step up and help people in need. Good on you, boys.
