When you enter into a relationship, you hope it’s with someone who can fulfill your needs emotionally, physically, and mentally. However, it’s difficult to have the self-awareness to know exactly what those needs are. Not only do you have to know your own needs, but you also have to know your partner.

Your partner’s zodiac sign can tell you a lot about what they need from you, and the best way to go about fulfilling those needs. Here’s how to know what your partner needs according to their zodiac sign.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

People who fall under this sign are said to have a number of different personality traits and are very complicated. They’re full of adventure and are always ready to take the next big trip. They enjoy deep conversations, but have a tough time laying all their emotions out on the table.

Pisces (Feb 19 – March 20)

Pisces are sensitive romantics. They enjoy the arts and expressing themselves creatively, which means they need a partner who enjoys those things as well. Due to their sensitive nature, they need emotional intimacy in their relationships, along with vulnerability.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries require honest above anything else. Communication is the key when in a relationship with someone who falls under this sign. Don’t hide anything from them and be willing to communicate when the relationship falls under tough times. They are bold, transparent, and they need someone who can tell it like it is.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

These people are the strong, silent type who will say everything is perfect on the surface. They don’t do well when it comes to expressing their feelings, so their partner needs to help them communicate how they feel. They need to feel comfortable in a relationship, and they can’t be pushed into anything.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Geminis have a tendency to lose track of their emotions and thoughts, which means they need someone to help them stay grounded. They can seem like flakes, but in reality, they have a ton of different interests that they just lose track of what they’re doing. Make sure that you keep things exciting for them while in a relationship.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Cancers give everything when it comes to their relationships. This includes the mind, body, soul, heart, home, clothing, and even the dog simply for the sake of their partner’s happiness. As their partner, you need to make sure that you don’t take advantage of their giving nature. Due to their nature, they have extremely high expectations of others, especially their partner’s.

Leo (July 23 – Aug 22)

Leos are confident and carefree, and they need a partner who also reflects this type of nature. They don’t do well in a relationship where they feel like they’re being held back from something important. Although they can come off as arrogant, they just have high expectations of themselves. They require serious relationships with serious intentions.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Virgos are analytical and logical when it comes to their relationships. Although they have a tender side, they rarely let the people around them see it. They need a partner who is emotionally available, but also someone who doesn’t let their emotions rule the show when it comes to making decisions.

Libra (Set 23 – Oct 22)

Libras have a very peaceful and balanced nature. They need to make sure that any relationship they are in will support this nature before considering anything serious. Equality is extremely important to people who fall under this sign, and that goes double for any romantic entanglements.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Scorpios are likely to have trust issues when it comes to their romantic relationships. If you’re the partner of a Scorpio, you need to be able to show that you’re trustworthy before anything gets too serious. If you don’t, be expected to be kept at an arm’s length. When they feel comfortable, they will open up.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

These people love adventure, they’re witty, and they’re philosophical. Due to their philosophical nature, they can feel lost at times, which is why they need a partner who will be able to comfort them when the time comes. Their emotions can flare easily, so they need someone to help keep them in check.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Capricorns are often seen as traditional. They are hardworking and determined to achieve their goals no matter what. They need a partner with a strong work ethic who understands when they stay at the office late and miss dinner. However, their partner also needs to be able to show them the benefits of slowing down and enjoying life in the present.

Sensitivity and strength are not mutually exclusive. Many people believe that in order to be strong, you can’t be sensitive, and in order to be sensitive, you have to forgo those values that make you strong. However, there are many people out there who are both strong and sensitive, and who deal with complex emotions that often seem to fight each other in most situations.

If you’re both strong and sensitive, it can be hard to explain to the people around you how you feel. They don’t understand the onslaught of opposing emotions you feel on a regular basis. In fact, what you do might come as a shock to them; your sensitivity allows you to break down walls and limit the number of emotional boundaries you construct for protection, while having strength enables you to tackle challenges head on with little hesitation.

Here are seven daily struggles you, being both strong and sensitive, are likely to endure.

1. You Fixate on Decisions

You understand that your decisions carry weight, which means that they have the power to impact or influence someone else in your life. While part of you is telling you to make a decision, your sensitive side is worried about hurting someone close to you.

These conflicting feelings make deciding anything a chore, and it can also be extremely stressful.

2. People Don’t Know When You’re Upset

You don’t try to project a tough exterior to the people around you, but that’s just how your personality comes across. When you’re upset, most people probably don’t even realize it, which can make you feel alone when it comes to dealing with your emotions.

3. You Avoid Emotional Confrontation

Your strength allows you to appear confident during any emotionally challenging situation.

However, the sensitive side in you is hidden, taking things much more seriously. The people around you believe you have everything under control, but on the inside, you could be an emotional wreck and no one will ever see it.

4. You Can Dish it, But You Can’t Take it

As a strong person, you can make jokes and say things to your friends that might come across harsh, but it’s all in good fun. When you friends start to give it back, you take it personally.

Sometimes you’re able to keep your frustration inside, and other times you can’t. Your friends have probably noticed, and they might have even called you out.

5. You Stand Up for Your Friends

Standing up for your friends is a must, but you don’t afford yourself the same respect. When someone walks all over a loved one, you get upset and you do something about it. However, if the same thing happened to you, you might just shrug it off as if it isn’t as important.

6. You Imagine Confrontation

The sensitive side in you hates confrontation on any level, but the strong side yearns to take matters in a different direction. Due to the opposing emotions, you imagine confrontations in your head, playing through the possible scenarios.

However, these hardly ever play out in reality.

7. Most People Annoy You

Since most people don’t understand you, they’re annoying in your eyes. Some of the things you say or do may come off as harsh, but the people who know you the best know that you’re a great person at heart, and that your bark is worse than your bite.

Narcissists always need to be at the center of everybody’s attention. They boast, they brag, and they tell exaggerated stories so that they can be at the forefront of peoples’ minds. What makes them worse, is that they’ve been working on their methods for years, which makes their lies harder to spot. They often mix full-blown lies with truths and half-truths so that they can get away with things more easily.

Narcissists have no capacity for empathy, understanding, or validation, but they’ve worked hard in order to fake it. If you’ve been around a narcissist before, you already know how infuriating it can be just to have a simple conversation; they couldn’t possibly care any less about what you’re saying. Here are four things that a narcissist will always do to be the center of attention.

1. They Play the Blame Game

Narcissists will never miss an opportunity to make someone look worse than they are. If a narcissist has the chance to make someone look bad, while elevating their own status in the process, they will always take it.

They constantly blame people for things that may not be their fault, and then when drama ensues, they’ll justify themselves by continuing to blame people for any issues that have occurred as a result.

2. They Reverse Roles

Narcissists are masters at conversation and manipulation; they understand just exactly how to twist a conversation around so that they look better in the eyes of people around them. Not only will they be able to turn the conversation, but they’ll be able to manipulate you into taking responsibility for the sudden and abrupt turn of events. Meanwhile, they look like the victim, and you’re left wondering what just happened.

3. They Play the Victim

Although narcissists don’t have the capacity for empathy or understanding, they don’t underestimate their power.

Usually, a narcissist will take underserved pity at the expense of another, who most likely deserves the pity in the first place. This is a classic manipulation tactic that narcissists spend their lives working to perfection.

4. They Interrupt

Since a narcissist has to be at the center of attention, they will interrupt any conversation that doesn’t pertain to them directly. Alternatively, if someone interrupts a narcissist in order to redirect the conversation, they will be rendered to silence as quickly as possible. If this fails, the narcissist will perceive this person to be a threat to the most important thing in the world: themselves.

Intimate relationships are special because they’re intimate. As soon as you divulge certain aspects of your relationship to a third party, no matter how trustworthy you perceive them to be, that intimacy is diminished. The great thing about being in a serious, romantic relationship is that you share something special with just one other person, maybe even for life. Needless to say, there are certain things about a relationship that you should always keep secret.

Although there are things about a relationship that you can talk about with outside parties, you need to make sure that you aren’t hurting anyone’s feelings by doing so. Put yourself in the position of your partner; ask yourself if what you’re about to say would hurt your feelings if you found out your partner was saying the same thing.

Here are four things about your relationship you should always keep secret…

1. Anything Said in Confidence

This goes without saying, but it’s worth discussing nonetheless.

Anything that your partner says to you in confidence should never be talked about with anyone else. Your partner shouldn’t have to tell you not to say anything either, you should just be able to tell. Many things said in confidence are said in intimate situations, like when you’re alone in bed, which means they shouldn’t leave that moment. Use your best judgement.

2. Anything Regarding Sex

Although some people like to think sex is a casual topic, it really isn’t. When someone asks you about your sex life, they’re really just prying for the sake of their own curiosity, so don’t give them the satisfaction.

Sex is arguably one of the most intimate aspects of a relationship, and when you’re in love, it becomes even more important to keep it between you and your partner. Personally, I wouldn’t want my partner to divulge anything to anyone regarding what goes on in the bedroom.

3. Anything Financial

You and your partner’s current financial situation should always be kept under wraps. Money is something that you shouldn’t talk about at all, even if you’re single, but especially not if it involves somebody else.

Finance is private, which means you have no right to talk about it if it involves more than just yourself. Not only will it give people an intimate look at your private life, but it will also allow people to change their opinions about you and your partner, which is simply unfair.

4. Any Perceived Flaws

If you think your partner has some flaws, that’s for you to decide, not anyone else. Nobody is perfect, so it’s foolish to look for someone who is. However, relationships are about taking the good with the bad, and deciding whether or not you can accept somebody’s flaws for the sake of something more important: the connection. The flaws you perceive in your partner are extremely intimate, which means you should never point them out to someone else.

Everyone experiences headaches from time to time. Typically, headaches are nothing serious to worry about, but sometimes they can be the symptom of something more serious going on within our bodies. The misconception about headaches is that they’re all the same, but this couldn’t be less true. For example, someone could use the term migraine to describe a particularly painful headache, but it might not be a migraine at all.

Since all headaches are different, are all caused by different reasons, and can be the way our bodies tell us something serious is happening, it’s important to understand what types of headaches shouldn’t be ignored. For your own safety, here are four types of headaches that should never be ignored, and how they’ll feel when they strike.

1. Sinus Headache

Sinus headaches occur when the sinus cavities in your head become clogged. Sometimes they happen as a result of a sinus infection, which won’t go away on its own.

When you feel an immense amount of pressure in your teeth, along your cheekbones, or even above your eyes, you should go to the doctor to make sure you don’t have an infection. If you do, you’ll be prescribed antibiotics, which should clear the infection up in about a week.

2. Cluster Headache

This type of headache is extremely rare, and it only affects around 1 percent of the population. Cluster headaches occur around the same time every day, which means that the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls the body’s clock, is most likely involved.

This type of headache is excruciating, and are commonly caused by alcohol or regular smoking. Sometimes, medical professionals will use nerve blocks to help treat the pain.

3. Migraine Headache

Migraine headaches are more difficult to diagnose because people can mistake the pain for something else. Migraines are commonly associated with throbbing pain, light sensitivity, nausea, and vomiting.

They are classified as a neurological condition, and some people suffer from them on a regular basis. If you’ve had a migraine before, chances are you’ll have another in the future. If you suffer from migraines regularly, you need to see a doctor who can help you with prevention and care.

4. Sports Headache

Headaches that come as a result of sports are incredibly important; especially if you participate in a sport like football, which consists of physical contact. These headaches can feel like a tension or migraine type of headache, but they can vary from person to person. If you’re having headaches while or after playing sports, you need to seek medical attention before performing any more activity.

Spouses or significant others cheating on each other might sound like a normal occurrence, until it happens to you. According to the experts, most women cheat because they feel something lacking emotionally within their relationship, but men typically cheat because they feel something lacking physically. Regardless of motives, women and men cheat at about the same rate, which some people might find surprising.

What’s more interesting is that partners who tend to cheat are also more likely to be untrustworthy in other areas of the relationship. Covering up an affair leads to more and more lies, which then makes it easier to lie in general; the more a partner lies, the more he or she becomes comfortable doing it. The trick is finding a partner you know will never feel the need to cheat. Here are five signs he or she will never cheat.

1. They Keep You Informed

If you’re with someone who enjoys keeping you up to date on their life outside of the relationship, the chances that they cheat will be very small.

Dishonest people tend to share as little as possible in an attempt to minimize the risk that they give away too much. Sharing shows that your partner not only wants to include you in the little details of their life, but that they take pride in telling you as well.

2. Their Schedule is Full

When your partner is forced to juggle work, school, the relationship, and other responsibilities, you can rest easy that they don’t have time for an affair.

Affairs are like second relationships; although they might not be as in depth, they still take time and energy away from the other aspects of life. When your partner is busy, they don’t have time for another relationship, especially one that demands physical attention.

3. They’re Honest in Everything

It’s easy to tell if you’re with an honest partner; simply think back to when they told you they were going to do something.

If they keep their word in almost every aspect of the relationship, you can be pretty sure they aren’t sleeping around. As was stated before, if a partner is cheating, they tend to lie about other aspects of the relationship as well. Honest people are honest no matter the situation.

4. They Cut All Ties to Past Romances

Some people insist on staying in touch with past romantic partners, but this is just unnecessary. If your partner has cut all ties to past relationships, not only does it mean they’re serious, but it also means they’re going to stay faithful. Nothing good can come from staying in touch with past partners, and it will only serve to hurt your current partner’s feelings.

5. They Make Time for You

When your partner fights to make time with you, and actually comes through, you know you’re the only one on their mind. When a partner begins having an affair, it’s no secret that they’ll start spending less and less time with you. Your partner should always try to find a little extra time here and there, and if they do, they probably aren’t going to cheat.

The human sinus is a system of hollow cavities all connected within the skull. Most of them a fairly small, with the exception of the cavity that runs along the cheekbones called the maxillary sinus. Anyone who has suffered from clogged sinuses or even a sinus infection knows the incredible amount of pressure it can cause; the entire skull can feel like it’s pounding underneath the surface.

Doctors and experts have come up with a number of innovative ways to clear the sinus cavities, including squirt bottles that blast saline solution up one nostril and flush whatever is causing the clog out the other side. Although it’s a pretty uncomfortable process, it’s also pretty effective.

However, there might be an easier way to clear out sinus congestion for those who can’t stand the pressure, and don’t want to shoot saltwater up their noses.

This technique is simple, and is only comprised of three easy steps. Here’s how to clear out your sinuses immediately:

Sit down and position the head and body at a 45-degree angle. While turning the head sideways, begin massaging the sternocleidomastoid muscle in downwards five times. The sternocleidomastoid muscle is positioned just below the ears, running down the neck perpendicular to the collar bone. Perform this process on both sides of the neck. The purpose of this massage is to relax the neck and prepare the body for the three-step process.

Step 1:

Now, using the index fingers, find the hard and boney part of the nose. Typically, it runs about halfway down the length of the nose starting from the bridge between your eyebrows. Next, find where this part of the nose ends and turns in to a softer area made up of cartilage. In a circular motion, massage the area between the boney part of the nose and the soft part firmly for about 20 to 30 seconds. After you’ve finished, massage the muscles that run down the side of your nose toward the cheekbones in order to relax the area.

Step 2:

Using the index fingers again, locate the bones above each eye. In the center of this bone, there is a notch directly above the center of each eyeball. Massage this notch in a circular motion with a firm pressure for another 20 to 30 seconds.

Step 3:

Lastly, use both hands to locate the center of the forehead. Continuing to perform a circular motion, slowly massage outward until you reach your temples.

You should feel immediately relief after performing this three-step process, along with the preliminary neck massage. You might find that slight variations work better for you during the process, and you’ll need to adjust accordingly in order for the steps to work best for you. Keep in mind that the process might need to be repeated depending on how clogged your sinuses actually are.

We all want to find the one, but it’s so much harder than it should be. If you’re anything like me, your romantic entanglements of the past have been disappointing, and it can be difficult to find the motivation to keep searching for the right partner. However, if we didn’t spend time making the connections we know don’t work, we’d never be able to recognize the connections that are worth making.

The most frustrating aspect of finding a long-term partner is not knowing who’s long-term material and who isn’t; how can you tell if you’ve found someone worth spending a significant amount of time with? Here are six signs that you’ve found a partner worth keeping.

1. You Share Common Interests

When you meet someone you like, you need to make sure that you share some common interests before getting too serious.

Chances are, you already have at least one common interest or you wouldn’t have met, but it’s important to find a few more. If you commit to a relationship with someone who doesn’t enjoy doing the same things you enjoy doing, you’ll find out that it’s hard to make time for one another.

2. They Know and Accept Their Flaws

Self-awareness is important in a long-term partner. Not only is it attractive in a person, but it also means that the person you’ve found is realistic. Obviously no one is perfect, so it’s important to recognize this, accept what can’t be changed, and focus on the positives in life. You don’t want to be with someone who’s stuck in the past or constantly focusing on the things they can’t do.

3. They Can Make You Laugh

Laughing makes you feel good, it relaxes you, and it can be just what you need after a long day. If you aren’t with someone who can make you laugh or who shares your sense of humor, the relationship can get boring fast. However, it’s hard to find someone who can make you laugh in the face of stress, but when you do, you know you’re close to finding a keeper.

4. They’re Different Enough

Although you want to find a partner who shares your interests, you also want to find a partner who’s different from you, at least a little bit.

Having someone in your life who challenges you to try new things keeps the relationship exciting. If you’re dating an exact replica of yourself, it can start out great, but get incredibly boring within a few months.

5. They’re Supportive but Independent

You want to find someone who supports your career and life goals, but you also want to find a partner who has their independence.

Sure, you may share some similarities, but it’s perfectly normal to be with someone who has their own hopes and dreams independent of your own. The only time this is a problem is when they crush your dreams in order to reach their own.

6. They Communicate

Communication is the key to a healthy, long-lasting relationship. If you’re with someone who can communicate, they’re worth keeping around simply for that reason. Being able to express one’s emotions is difficult, which is why it’s important to practice when you get the chance. Communication will keep things from getting bottled up, and it will keep fights from erupting out of nowhere.

Depression is one of the most frightening types of mental illness a person can suffer from. Unfortunately, it’s also the most common form of mental illness out there. Even for a loved one observing someone go through depression, the illness can be frightening, disheartening, and create turmoil in an otherwise healthy relationship. When a person is suffering from depression, they feel like they have no help in sight. Even when help becomes available, they are unwilling to accept it.

Although depression can be incredibly difficult to overcome or fight off, there are ways you can train your brain to keep the illness away. In order to train your brain, you need to push aside the notion that you can only help those willing to help themselves. Sometimes, helping ourselves simply isn’t an option, making help absolutely essential. Never ignore the symptoms of depression; get yourself or your loved one the help that’s so desperately needed.

If you or someone close to you is suffering from depression, you can always text ‘GO’ or ‘HELP’ to 741741 for free, confidential assistance. This helpline is not only free of charge, but available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The first step to training your brain to defend against depression, you need to look toward the future. When you get depressed or sad, you’re usually thinking about something negative that’s happened in your past; you need to move on in order to stay safe and mentally healthy. Reliving past events will only prolong their negative impacts.

For example, if you’re going through a painful breakup, there are obviously going to be some negative aspects to the situation you could find yourself focusing on. However, you could make a list of all the positive traits you future partner should have, which would be a step in the right direction and a focus on the future.

Next, tell the story of your depression, even if it’s just to yourself. Recount the events that led up to your depressed state so that you can identify the triggers the affected you the most. Once you identify the aspects of your life that are making you depressed, you can start to figure out ways to move past them and begin to heal.

Never set ridiculous and unrealistic expectations for yourself. Setting unrealistic expectations will only set your up for disappointment. When it comes to creating goals, whether they be related to your career or your personal life, take small steps and set goals often. This will ensure that you aren’t disappointed, and that you actually have a chance of achieving what you want.

Lastly, you don’t want to repress any emotions or thoughts. If you feel sad, let it out, if you feel angry, admit it to yourself; your emotions are important and they need to be expressed. Those of us who repress emotions are only sitting and waiting for depression to strike. Expression, not repression, will ensure that we move past troubling circumstances.

Any relationship will inevitably reach a point that’s difficult. All relationships take work as they develop, grow, and change as the people involved in them change. If two people aren’t willing to work toward their future together, the relationship won’t last. Couples are often too worried about whether or not they’ll have to endure hard times, when they should be worried about how they’ll react when those hard times undoubtedly hit.

If you’re in a relationship that’s hit a rough stretch, you need to first decide if it’s worth working through. When you make the decision to work toward a brighter future, it helps to know what to say to your partner. The right words can make all the difference in regards to saving, fixing, or even just maintaining a healthy relationship. Here are six things you should tell your partner.

1. Thank You

Gratitude is everything in a relationship. Even when a relationship is at its best, each person involved will be doing things for the other in a display of affection. Those displays will eventually become less frequent if no gratitude is given, which is why saying thank you can make all the difference in the world.

Next time your partner does something for you, even when it seems insignificant, say thank you.

2. I’m Sorry

One of the hardest things people can do is admit when they’re wrong or when they’ve made a mistake. Don’t let pride get in the way of a relationship that could otherwise stand the test of time.

Simply saying sorry when you’ve screwed up can change your partner’s mood and make them more forgiving in the future. It will also end arguments that put unnecessary strain on a relationship more quickly.

3. I’m Proud

Your partner wants to know that you’re proud to be with them.

When your partner feels valued, they have the motivation to work harder in the relationship no matter the issue. Make sure that you’re being specific when you tell your partner that you’re proud of them; if you’re proud of what they do around the house, how hard they work or provide, or for any other reason, make sure you say why specifically.

4. I’m Making More of an Effort

Let your partner know that you’re working hard to give them what they want. If your partner takes the time to address an issue they’ve been having, you owe it to them to make the effort to fix it. If your partner wants you to do more around the house, try to clean up after yourself, help during meal times, or organize cluttered areas, let them know you’re trying.

5. What Do You Need?

When your partner has been having a rough day or week, let them know you’re willing to do what you can to help.

Simply asking your partner what they need can go a long way. It’s not so much the act of physically doing something, but the fact that you’re there for them when they need an extra hand. If your partner does mention something you can do, make sure you do it as soon as possible.

6. I Love You

These three simple words will say it all. If you feel genuine, real love for your partner, you can’t express those feelings enough. Saying I love you will make your partner feel like the work they do for the relationship is all worth it. If you feel it, say it, and say it often.
